Welcome to Dollie's Cyber Cafe!

It's quiet in here, but not too quiet. You can hear the music at the perfect volume, smell your favorite drink and snack being prepared for you as you make small-talk with your usual barista. You are surrounded by an ambience that seems so familiar and cozy; a faint smell of pacholli and some sort of flower that is just enough to be pleasant but not as overwhelming as the hippie shop you just scored your new tapestry from. You don't come here as often as maybe some of the other folks you see chugging their espresso-infused coffee drinks while surfing the web, yet it still feels like a home away from home. The pillow you see next to you looks so cool you think very seriously about swiping it in your oversized tote but then come to your senses and give yourself a grand excuse to go visit Pier 1 Imports, even if just to window shop. They call it a Global Village Coffeehouse and the vibe is perfect. So do enjoy your stay and remember, we're a cybercafe so we never close ;)

Stuff to Do...

Suggested to Order whilst reading: Cocoa or mocha if that's your thing- and since we're talkin' bout Philly, how about a soft pretzel to cut the sweetness a bit ;)

It's freakin' freezing, Mr. Bigglesworth! Good thing we happen to be one of those establishments that uses christmas lights year-round as decor. It really warms up the place if you ask me. But it is "love season" as we approch February, so get ready for the excessive pinks and reds and heart decor...another thing we tend to appreciate year-round! Since it's so freezing out there is nothing I like more than a hot cocoa when coming in from the cold. And this month's reading is the autobiography of one of my first celebrity crushes (shhhh) Mr. Allen Iverson! What can I say: tis the season. Even if you aren't a huge basketball nut, his story is very special and I truly admire his authenticity in a time where that's hard to come by.

Who doesn't love a box of candy on the 14th? Even if you have to buy them for yourself...trust me: save the boxes! I have decorated the empty boxes for years and they make amazing year-round wall hangings!

I love Valentine's Day Crafts! This year we are going to continue the whole "Anthropologie Holiday" vibe and switch some of our christmas decor for love day with some little switches. After all, sometimes it's a simple as replacing the greens in your red a green stuff with pink. My favorite valentine decor is vintage heart candy boxes. I made a set of three last year and I can show you how, here. I'm also going to make a garland out of some clippings of different heart boxes (comin soon) that will be fun and easy to do but in the meantime check out my boxes. You can always make simple versions of these with paper decorations.
