Welcome to Dollie's Cyber Cafe!
It's quiet in here, but not too quiet. You can hear the music at the perfect volume, smell your favorite drink and snack being prepared for you as you make small-talk with your usual barista. You are surrounded by an ambience that seems so familiar and cozy; a faint smell of pacholli and some sort of flower that is just enough to be pleasant but not as overwhelming as the hippie shop you just scored your new tapestry from. You don't come here as often as maybe some of the other folks you see chugging their espresso-infused coffee drinks while surfing the web, yet it still feels like a home away from home. The pillow you see next to you looks so cool you think very seriously about swiping it in your oversized tote but then come to your senses and give yourself a grand excuse to go visit Pier 1 Imports, even if just to window shop. They call it a Global Village Coffeehouse and the vibe is perfect. So do enjoy your stay and remember, we're a cybercafe so we never close ;)

Stuff to Do...

Suggested to Order whilst reading: You can finally have an iced coffee and it's cooler than the air outside, huzzah! I'm gonna go with a strawberry frappe with whipped cream...a certain large coffee chain discontinued them years ago but we still make them here in my imagination so SUCK IT, corporate America :)
Holy heck, we made it out of one seriously cold winter. I almost cannot believe spring has sprung. It's still quite cold at night in my area but now that daylight savings time has ended, it is nice that it's not pitch dark by dinner time. Every year it never fails that I act surprised when the light lingers well into the evening. What can I say? I'm a kid at heart in all manners of whimsy. A real stare-out-the-window and dream kind of gal. So why not make our book of the month for April a classic: The Secret Garden.

Who doesn't love a box of candy on the 14th? Or year round, really. Even if you have to buy them for yourself...trust me: save the boxes! I have decorated the empty boxes for years and they make amazing year-round wall hangings!
I still have loads of heart boxes after my valentine chocolate haul! I love V-Day crafts even after February has long passed. My bathroom is literally decorated with heart boxes and vintage valentines (remind me to share some pictures)...but anywho- I'm fixing to make some new boxes, one I have in mind is a pale yellow like this one. Check out this video to see how I achieved the vintage heart box look in a DIY! And check out some of the other ideas for these boxes like collages and galaxy painting. These boxes make amazing blank canvases and I'll be making more fun ones into the summer <3
